Being a Triton and Mercury owner I was pretty excited about this new Bassmaster Series. However, I was pretty disappointed when I saw that the closest division to where I live was 600 miles away.

Oh well, maybe in their second season they will move a little closer to me.

You never know with BASS. Maybe they will expand if they have some success.

I wont be fishing it either. They seem to be stuck on Rayburn and Toledo Bend I just can't get enough time off to do it this year. Maybe they will move some closer to the Metroplex next year.

Conley,

Even the Northeast division has tournaments that are 10 hours away. The fact that the practice days are Saturdays & the tournament days are Sundays make it at least possible to make all of the events. The Northern Opens were mostly on week days so you had to take off at least 1 week per event. I couldn't swing that right now. I should be able to make all 5 events in the Northeast division.

We'll see how things go.

The only negative that comes along with the Sunday tournaments being so far away is getting to work on Monday.

I guess the choice is fish BFL and take Friday off for the pre-tourney meeting or fish BASS (drive a lot farther) and take Monday off because we will be getting home at 3am.

Oh well, at least they are making progress. Hopefully in a year or two it gets up here in the North.

Well one thing I found out is that the wife put me in for the amture side of the Table Rock tournament. It will be my Birthday present if I'm drawn. I wasn't real thrilled about the shared wieght format they went to but since she thought enought to put me in for I will fish it. lol. What a wife.

Posted in wrong place it is for the BASS Master Tour Event on Table Rock.

Thanks Brendan, all five of the Central div. events are within my range, roughly 4-5 miles or less. I may try these out as a boater.I am familiar with Table Rock, Truman and Lake of the Ozarks. Never fished Grand lake/Okla but hear it's good, Thanks again. Johnnie

OOPS a little miss print on my previous post the lakes are 400 to 500 miles away, not 4 or 5. Wish I was so lucky!
