Those are the two colors I tend to stick with, however, you can try mix them (i.e. Black/blue Jig skirt with Green Pumpkin Trailer).

Have you tried fishing a tube? If they are not hitting the jig well, sometime a tube is a little more appealing.

As for the fire tiger color, I would use fire tiger if they are keying in on perch, but if the primary forage is gizzard shad, I'd be looking for something that looks more like a gizzard shad:

Thanks for the ideas. I've usually got a tube tied on. The main forage in the lake is crawdads. And the smaller shad.Also there is a large population of crappie and stripers. I'll be there next week I'll let you know how it went.
