Rattle Trap

Ya I start out with 1/8 or 1/4 oz...and then as summer approaches i got to 1/2 oz to 3/4 oz, the heavier bait will also run deeper.

Need to find a supply of lipless baits without rattles though...im running low on my old cordell spots.

what about winter time,in bigger lakes, ,would a 1/4 ounce be good 4 a tournament or just fishing this weekend?

it all depends what water column you are trying to work and what type action yout think will trigger the bite

I have been throwing the 1/2 ounce in the blue and silver and the [censored] shad and both work just as good as the other . I would with out a doubt throw it in a tournament . Try it out before you enter the next one .

yeah it never rained that hard, just enuff 2 get me damp alittle, and also my opinion, rattle trap is a great lipless crank bait, but also consider a couple others, like a diamond shad, red eye shad, berkley frenzy and rapalas verson, they all work well. some better at times than others,

one undersized fish 11 and 3/8th of a inch on a 1/4 oz rattletrap,i would of streched him a little longer, but didnt want 2 hurt the little fella,so i will just pay my skunk fee,i also missed 2 fish on a jig and lost one nice one, about 4 pounds at the boat on a speedcrawl,it was a stressfull day.i would of won the tournament if i would of landed all of my fish, but thats why they call it fishing and not catching,oh yeah my partner didnt get a touch all day, check out the lake greenwood post,i explained my stress about how my day went.

Those are the days that keep us interested... if you caught well ever time and won every tournament, you'd get tired after a while... or not... >/wink.gif" alt="wink" title="wink" height="15" width="15" />
