Bass fishing

Post by rolambe »

Hy,
I`m from Germany and I`m searching for a lake or river in the States for going bassfishing.
Last year I was in Spain at the Ebro but it wasn`t good.
Now I`m searching for a lake in America to go fishing with guiding.(Only bass)
Where must I look(east, west, nort or south of America)?
Thanks

Bass fishing

Hi Rolambe,

There is great bass fishing all around the USA and even South America. I'll try to give you some general places to look into, but it depends on what you are after:

First I'd read some of the reports in our "Bass Fishing Reports" message board, we have a group of guides who post reports here often.

1) If you looking for GIANT largemouth bass:

Lake Amistad, Del Rio Texas

Clear Lake, California

Stick Marsh, Florida

For A mix of Largemouth and Smallmouth with both numbers and good size:

Lake Champlain, NY

Table Rock Lake, MO
http://www.bransonfishingguideservice.com/ (Bassin' USA ProStaff - Don House)

Trophy Smallmouth:

LAKE ERIE! (THE END) If you are after monster smallmouth bass, look no further, the numbers of smallies caught over 5 pounds in a day is shocking!

I'll leave some room here for others to post their favorites...

If you have more specifics, please post again.

Regards,
