Connecticut Post FRESHWATER Report
November 1, 2007

Largemouth bass — Good reports from Lake Lillinonah, Crystal Lake (Ellington), Messerschmidt Pond, Mansfield Hollow Reservoir, East Twin Lake, Glasgo Pond and Lake Wononscopomuc (note that this lake is now closed for the season). Fair or mixed reports from Mashapaug Lake, Candlewood Lake, Highland Lake, Halls Pond, Winchester Lake, Silver Lake and Batterson Park Pond.

Smallmouth bass — Lakes Lillinonah and Candlewood are showing improving smallie action. Decent smallmouth fishing can still be found in the Housatonic River above New Milford.

Hi Bassmasta,

Some are reservoirs that feed the Housatonic river system. Other are local ponds and natural lakes. Do you fish the CT River at all?
