Virgil Ward was amoung four inductees to the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame! He got in along with Buck Parry, Charlie Cambell and Nick Creme, all of whom made tremendous impacts on Modern Bass fishing. All four of these guys shaped everything I did with a bass rod and I'm sure your way of fishing incorpaorates some of their legacy. I hope the younger guys appreciate how these men advanced the theories and techniques of the sport they enjoy today. I have a story that involves each of these anglers contribution to the sport and the way I fish. Cheersa men, Thanks!

That is some great news! I heard that they will inducted at the 40th Bassmasters Classic at Lake Hartwell during the opening ceremonies. I think we would all like to hear some of your stories on the influences these men had on your fishing techniques...

I still have my autographed photo from Virgil sitting right on my desk at home...

Thanks guys, we all know what a great angler Virgil was, but not that much is known about Charlie Campbell.Charlie actually had a brother named Jim who was in their younger days a much better angler than Charlie, but shunned the limelight. We grew up together in Ava, MO, and he was always a step ahead of everyone else. He fished with mu uncles a lot and is a distant relation-he never has forgot his roots either. I'm so happy for both of them-all of them in fact. Buck Perry had some unique ideas as well.
