Got back into fishing at the Lagoon. Took the afternoon off on Friday and got to put in about four hours before it got dark. When I got to the Lagoon it was around 4:00 PM.
Water temp was up to 58. Conditions were calm. Got one little guy on a dropshot at around 5:30 PM.
Went back for another shot at it with my son Mikie on Sunday morning. Mikie got one on the dropshot and I got one. Had a couple of nibbles, Mikie farmed one he had on.
Conditions were gentle breeze, water temp 58, air temp 72. Nice morning fishing with my son.
All fish were caught on 5 lb. flourocarbon line, #8 Owner mosquito hooks, with 4" Bonzai Cinnamon Neon Core plastic worms, Smelly Jelly craw scent on the tails.
The bass are starting to come in and bite in the shallow water again. We got these not far off the shoreline in about 8 ft. of water. I think the spawn is just about ready to go off. I got a report from a guy taking a Tracker out of the water that he had measured surface temp at the north end of the lake at 64.
I would imagine at that temp by the next full moon which is 4/20 the spawn will be full on.
Good fishing to you guys, later................. geobass
