OK, lets get started. I got up to the lagoon today at around 10:30 A.M.
It was very windy at first but died down. I started to throw a speed trap and a hudd with no bites. I lost my speed trap to a line left in the water(pick up all your line). When we moved down to the boat ramp, i saw thousands of baby fish, they were SO small i could not tell what species. Saw lots of dead bluegills too. The lake is getting full with weeds near the ramp area. That it really the whole of the fishing report, so, the postspawn is here that is why they are hard to get
THE MAIN ATTRACTION
At the south side of the lifeguard station near the ramp, there are lots of lizards. Since i was not catching any fish, i decided to use a #4 size owner mosquito hook with a berkley power nymnh. i would get there attention and shake it around so they would strike it, they mouthed it for a long time but i never hooked them. Then they got weary and did not strike at all. The hook was to big. Next time i will bring my fly fishing flies for the lizards.
Lagoon sucks right now, try another place until next month. it should be good again

Lizarding at the Lagoon
LOL! Man swimbait101, you know it's tuff when you start targeting lizards! That's a funny report! Hopefully you are right and things will pick up for you again soon.
Thanks for posting this report... I know a lot of guys who visit here fish the Lagoon.
