There are a lot of preferences that anglers have and I've never heard one consistent answer, so all I can offer is my personal favorites: Black and Chartreuse

There is no other color that is darker than jet black. Hold Jet Black up to any other color and you will see it... even other shades of black! It has served me well for many years and you should at least give it a try. You might start with a black Senko with a chartreuse tip or a black jig with chartreuse tips skirt or a chartreuse trailer. I like just a touch of chartreuse in my jigs (no more than 1/4 the entire size of the jig)... these are just my preferences, nothing more... confidence has a lot to do with it also.

can i use a lure chart dye 2 dip the tips into,or would it be better 2 bye already colored baits, and your favorite color is almost the same as mine, but i only use them on lakes, but will try the jet black ones, i just put a order in today with bps? is there any better or cheaper places 2 order tackle from,or is bps the best?

If you use dye on Jet Black, you end up with a nice dark green...

You want Chart, two option, buy it, or if you have another colored soft-plastic in chart, you can cut and glue the baits together. Like a small 1" piece of a chart worm.

There are places that sell things for cheaper, but it depends on how much stuff you are ordering. You have to factor in shipping costs, so you might save a $1.00 on a particular lure, but because you now placed two order and paid double shipping, your in the hole. Just something to consider...

lol, you're welcome man. Nothing to brag about... however, if you want a good laugh you can watch me on the T.V. Show "Lunkerville":
