Castaic lagoon water level?????

The other day I was out fishing by the launch ramp and some guy launching his boat was making some small talk about the water level in the lake. He said at this moment it is very very very low. From the water stains on the launch ramp concrete, it's apparent! But what he also said was the water level also killed all the BIG largemouths......... >/smirk.gif" alt="smirk" title="smirk" height="15" width="15" /> Anyone else hear this too?

it wont kill anything, if something dies its gonna be the fry no being able to hide in the rocks

That's exactly what i thought. But according to the guy he knew what he was talking about. =) Doesn't make sense to me either.

The Lagoon is over 70 feet deep... its been a lot lower than this and all the Bass survived.. so dont worry.. just keep throwing them back >/smile.gif" alt="smile" title="smile" height="15" width="15" />

Can you walk all the way across the rocks in front of the spillway by the buoy line at the south end?

you sould only see the tips of the tallest rocks

Don't worry about the water level being so low as to hurt the fish then.

I've seen it a lot lower than that. There have been times when I could walk all the way across at the buoy line to the other side.
