Spinnerbait or Crankbait?
When spinning for bass in a slow moving stained river which is best in the spring time. Bandit 200 (red) or a spinnerbait (white) and why.

Spinnerbait or Crankbait?
Dennis, assuming the water color is stained, I'd go with a white skirted 1/4 or 3/8th ounce spinnerbait with a number three gold blade. This bait has kept me in the money in most all spring tournaments. The white skirt looks somewhat like a shad and the gold blade just shows up nicely. I like red cranks a little later in the season, however; they will take fish now. P.S. go with Indiana or Colorado blades in spring, save the willow leafs for later. Johnnie Crain

Spinnerbait or Crankbait?
If I'm in Texas...red crankbait, anywhere else the spinnerbait. More confidence in it.

Spinnerbait or Crankbait?
I used to fish a lot of rivers before I got my fist boat. My #1 river bait for spring river bass would be a crank bait--a Rebel Crawfish. I always had very good luck.
