Maybe if someone keys on Kentucky bass. Most of the largemouth should be fairly shallow. I have a hunch that point jumping with cranks and jigs will win this one.

You may have nailed it there Johnnie. If it doesn't warm up, this could turn into a spot tournament. That would sure shuffle the cards. But when have you seen a tourney in the elites when they didn't find the shallow bite for LMB's. These guys could cut a hole in ice and catch fish flippin!

I had a question about one other thing.

Do you guys know if they plan the day of the tournament to be off the full moon phase?

I would think they would do anything possible to avoid a situation where those bass were chomping down all night and then not be biting during the day.

Frank, you're right, those guys always find some shallow fish. Makes me believe that some fish just stay shallow all year. I know that on the Mississippi river many fish never go deper than 3 feet in our backwaters, they can't, ther is no deeper water! JC

Wow, considering it was the first day KVD really put on a show.

One thing that always amazes me is how tough this sport really is. The most talented guys in the world go out with practice and the best equipment and some get zeroed.

Man that is what I call tough fishing.
