Which is better?
Mono or Flouro, I have been using braids for the longest time and lost track of the other lines.

Which is better?
Dennis,
I have always used mono and just started using flourocarbon line in the last 2 years. I found that is it (fluorocarbon) and excellent choice for fishing clear waters and heavy pressured lakes. I am also using it to fish some crank baits. If I want my crank bait to run a litle deeper, I'll use fluorocarbon line. This line tends to sink compare to mono. Fluoro is not a good choice for fishing top water baits (because of the previous explaination).

Which is better?
Dennis, the answer is BOTH. I use both Mono and Fluro. Like Mark, I like fluro for crankin' jigs and wormin' for spinnerbaits and topwater I like mono. Clear water? Mono. For longer casts? Mono. Heavy cover-big fish? Fluro. Basically, for special situations I use Fluro, for general fishing Mono, you really need both. Good luck, new friend, Johnnie Crain.

Which is better?
Just like with rods, no one line can be versatile enough to work in all situations.
