What's up with Dat?

Ever been fishing a Texas Rig and aint nothing happening when all a sudden your rod is almost jerked out of your hands? No matter what you try you aint catching nuthing! What's up with that?

Catt, I would suspect that you have encountered some catfish or pike. These fish will take a worm rig hard and not take the hook. I find this especially true with twister tail worms more than straight worms. If the worm is shredded I'd suspect a pike or musky if not then the culprit is most likely catfish or white bass. White bass are very aggressive and will hit soft plastics very hard on a dead run, wipers also. Maybe if you would push the button when a styrike is detected and let the fish run with the bait, you might hook up and find out what's up wit dat. Good luck, Johnnie
