The FLW Tour heads out on my home water this week, the Potomac!! Tidal fishing can be very difficult, and knowing where subtle channels exist to hold fish in tide changes can be CRUCIAL to winning. So when one of the Elite or FLW Tour events starts, I like to research the water just as if I were going to be fishing in it - practice for the mental aspect of tournament fishing (if you arent doing this I highly recommend it).
I headed over to the Navionics WebApp, which is free to use, and took a look the water with and without the SonarCharts data, and what a difference!! Make sure you download the freshest data on your Navionics cars during your pre-practice research - it could help you find that small nuance underwater that fish key on!
