Hello,
Just got back into fishing . Joined the site a day or so ago. Just currious as to what the first lure everyone ties on is . For me it would have to be the little yellow cricket made by rebell. It always comes through, and just about anything will hit it.

Iron Hill,
I dont have any favorite lure to tie on. My choice of a lure will depend on the season, time of day, and conditions. My choices range from buzz bait, spinner baits, worms, jigs, crank baits, and everthing in between.

Yeah I know the conditions play a key roll in bait selection . I mostly use cranks , rattle's , and plastic worms & top water ( fishing top water has to be my favorite ). I never leave with out the rebel cricket though , like I said if nothings hitting , or if the wife , or my daughter is along it's a pretty safe bet that tieing on that cricket will produce results . I was just currious if anyone else had that " magic " lure .

Iron Hill, first, welcome to Bassin'USA. I never-ever go fishing without a deep diving crankbait. It covers a lot of water fast, will tell you if bottom cover is available and most time what type cover and will help establish if the fish are active or not. As for the Cricket, I've never owned one, but if you have that much confidence in it you should always throw it. Like most guys, it's difficult to single out any favorite lure, but mine is usually the one I caught a fish on last. Keep in touch, the pro staff id here for you. Johnnie
