Pro Staff,
I have had great success under all conditions using gold colored spinnerbaits. Has anyone experimented with or used other baits with gold color? I'm about to paint some crankbaits gold and some jig heads. Gold glitter seems to help in soft plastics also.

Gold Color
Johnnie,
I've been using gold colored lures for about three years as my first color choice. I like the fact that is seems visible in all types of water colors and is more subtle than silver. I use gold spooks, crank and dives, rapala cranks, rattle traps, name it. If you look closely at a bait fish in the sun, all seem to have a little gold in the shoulder.
Works for me anyway.

Gold Color
Gold is one o0f the colors I always seem to put into most of my baits. I think bass like golden shiners more than any other baitfish, here on LI, they are a primary forage in a ton of lakes. I've been doing gopld spinnerbaits for years, absolutely a great color

Frank, those Gold series baits from Norther Bass Shops are awesome. They have spooks and pop-r's in custom gold color.

Thanks for the input guys, looks like my wife's gold spray paint is going to disappear. With the price of some lures you'd think they were made of real gold. I have some good running crankbaits in odd colors that will soon be gold, again, thanks. Johnnie.
