Guys I know this may seem strange, being a Bassin' USA Pro Staff member, but I'm making a guest appearance on the Walleye Wisdom TV show this Christmas week.
The days remaining this week are (times are Central Time Zone) 12/24 12:30 p.m.; 12/26 8 p.m. and 12/28 7 a.m.
The show is aired on the Sportsman Channel, and their web site.
They mainly wanted me on the show to talk about Virgil Ward. It was a bit embarrassing in that the host took my fish off the line. Guess he was afraid that a bass fisherman would try lipping a sauger.
Best of fishing,
Dan

Walleye Wisdom TV Show
Conley,
Glad you liked the show. All I got to see was a couple of seconds on the Internet. The production company still hasn't sent my copy of the show.
Yes, the walleye are good to eat, and the host wanted to keep them. He was going to clean them for the people where he was staying. Guess that is one way to pay for lodging, but all of my shows have been catch and release, so wouldn't pay for mine.
It was difficult being a guest, as I have my way of doing things, and wanted to direct the cameraman a bit differently, but it isn't my show. I will say he has a great cameraman and soundman. They are the best with which I've worked since the folks at Iowa Public TV, and Dan Keith (one of the best in the business) from Midwest Outdoors TV.
I've made some good contacts with the soundman, Kent Pope, who has his own award winning production company. Plus, after the shooting I found out through my mother that Kent's great uncle was my grandmother's cousin. As they say, "small world".
Best of fishing,
Dan
