I'm pretty loyal when it comes to baits, reels, rods, boats, and tackle. But I tend to bounce around alot on line. Does everyone else have this problem?? Here is what I finished the season up with last year.
Sufix DNA-Small cranks
P-Line CXX - Med. to Big Cranks
Pline Fluorclear - Senko's
Berkley Vanish - Carolina Rig and Tubes
Big Game - Jigs and Spinnerbaits
Power Pro - Some CR and Frogs
Silver Tread - Pitch and Flip
I like all of the above lines or I wouldn't fish them. And I know that 1 brand won't work in all of the different situations. Tell us what your using and why???

Line Question for everyone...............
Roger, great topic on line. I have been using Stren line for the past 12 years and have excellent success. My primary line choice is Stren Magnathin. I will use it for most of my applications except flippin/pitching and carolina techniques. I do use Stren's flourocarbon for my dropshot, power dropshot, and crankin (specially when I want my cranks to dive deeper).

Roger, I use Stren Easy Cast (12#) in the (brown coffee) color most of the time, it's color blends with any background, has low stretch and little memory. It's perfect for crankbaits. For Pitchin' and Flippin' I like the Chameleon line from Maxima in fifteen pound test. Good strong line with no problems. Don't switch lines too often except to test a new product, so far the basics once again, are as good or better than hybrids.

Forgot to mention, i do use Trilene XT 17# for shallow diving crankbaits. The larger diameter helps to keep the bait shallow, and tends to inhibit the action which I like for shallow divers, don't want a lot of action. Johnnie

Roger, I use three lines. Yo Zuri Hybrid for most of my fishing. Bagley's Super Silver Thread for light tackle and Power Pro when conditions dictate braid.

Line Question for everyone...............
Roger,
I use 14 and 17 pound test Easy Cast for my spinnerbaits, and some of the other lure which I'm casting. With crankbaits I drop it down to 10 or 12 pound.
For flippin and pitchin I use 30 and 50 pound test Stealth and Gorilla Braid. This is for my tubes, worms and jigs.
On my light action spinning, for small finesse worms, etc. I'll use 15 pound test Gorilla Braid. This will have fewer line twiest birds nests, and provide the extra strength need for some cover, and setting the hook, not to mention more sensitivity.
As for ice fishing, I use Magna Thin in 4 to 6 pound tests.
Best of fishing,
Dan

Line Question for everyone...............
I have been using Trilene and Berkley products since the late 70's. They have a variety of lines for every type of fishing and tackle. Berkley line has never failed me when it counted, so I see no need to change. Makes it a whole lot easier when gearing up for a new season, too. To each his own. Just a matter of personal preference and performance for me. Tight lines, Herb
