I read a article on boat colors. Do you feel that it matters what color a bottom is? Is it more or less important, different for bright or cloudy days? Is ther a happy medium?

Good question. But let me ask you this. You are making a cast out away from the boat. I prefer a white bottom boat. But to be honest with you I dont think the fish care what kinda boat bottom you have. Course that just my opinion on the matter.

Another "controversial" question... All I can ad to this topic is that I had a white bottom boat and won many tournaments fishing from it and I now own a black bottom boat and I am still winning tournaments...
On a side note, I actually won a tournament once flippin' and pitching in water less than 2' and I had to keep my gas motor running the whole time because my cranking battery died... didn't bother the fish at all. In fact, I strongly believe that they are more spooked by the trolling motor sound over the gas engine. There is a book called "LUNKER" and it was written by a guy named "Bob Underwood"... he did many under water studies of bass and documented all of it in this book... I highly recommend the book to any bass fisherman...
