lake meyer IA.

Have any of you fished on Lake Meyer in Iowa?
Its located in Winneshiek County IA and is close to Decorah. I think this is in Johnnie Crains back yard. I need to know if its any good and also how to get to the launch
site(s)? If there are alternative lakes in the Decorah area I would also be interested in these.

Sorry I didn't answer sooner, but I've been racking my brain and researching lake meyer and it just barely even exists. It's no where near my area of extreme southeast Iowa. Lake meyer to the best of my limited knowledge appears to be a very small-golf course lake, probably open to the public. It has one boat ramp located on the southeast side of the lake. It is located between Ft. Atkinson and Spillville, Iowa. It has a s railroad bridge spanning the western end of the lake, may be a good spot. There are no other lakes within fifty miles of Meyer. Meyer is located in the heart of Iowa's trout stream country. There are several streams near the lake.
Meyer is 12-15 miles south of Decorah.

Thanks Johnnie! I will be fishing on this lake a couple of times this summer. I can post my results either positive or negative if anyone might be interested. If all else fails I will fish the Mississppi river pools 9 or 10.
