Lily Pads

Post by bandit »

I found that the best way to fish the pads for people that dont have much experience with pad fishing is using topwater. Use the topwater frog such as a scum frog and ill guarantee that you will get at least a strike. Also the scum frog will not get hung up with its weedless disign and you can toss it in places where not even a completely weedless worm can go.. Actually what I do when casting near shore is i cast it on to shore and bring it in the water, more realistic and no big splash to scare away fish. I did this technique a whole day and only snagged on shore once. Have fun and dont forget to tell me how you do....----bandit

I've been throwing the Mister Twister Hawg Frog, 2", in between the openings of lily pads with some success recently. Very realistic and very weedless.
