shimano calcutta te

does anyone have any experience with the shimano calcutta series baitcasters.
i kinda want something that will last a lifetime. with proper maintenance, is that even possible?
A freind of mine found one in a left handed retreive model, still new, but he is offering it to me.
does anyone know how long these reels will last.

I have three Calcuttas and I think they are the best reels ever made. One is 15 yrs old and have never had a problem.

Jason,

The Shimano Calcutta is one of the most durable long lasting reels on the market. You can't got wrong purchasing one.
