IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO PROSTAFF

Gentlemen,

I wanted to give all of you an update on the website redesign and inform you that we will need your assistance soon in testing out the new "ProStaff" module. You should receive an email from the ProStaff coordinator in about 1 month directing you to your new log in area. There will be instructions included in the email as well as on your management pages when you are logged in.

I am posting this message now to give you all some advanced notice and so that if you like, you can begin to gather any new content that you will be adding to your profile. (i.e., Articles, Tips, Your Current fishing achievements, etc.)

There will be some major changes to this site over the next 6 months and we will re-open our web-traffic campaign which will increase the traffic to this site by over 300%. (In other words, it is going to get very busy around here)

We are working on deals with major sponsors right now as well as a program which will offer dedicated prostaff members the opportunity to host "Paid speaking events". Our product review program will also be going back into full swing and you will also have a new area to work on your product reviews within your ProStaff Management Pages.

There are going to be a lot of new opportunities coming up and your level of participation and activity will determine who gets what and how much.

I want to thank those of you who have been active on these message boards helping out our visitors, they really appreciate what you guys do for them. For those of you who have not, now might be a good time to start getting active again.

Brendan I was looking back and found this post. Was wondering if any of this is still going on?? I never recieved the email.

Glad this resurfaced again, I have changed my profile in years (not that I've acommplished much), but do look forward to changes being made. Maybe some incentive for everyone to get more involved, it gets lonesome here sometimes. Johnnie

I'm glad you guys resurfaced this post too. Here's the quick version.

We were working with another company on this project and they had made some time estimates which as it turned out were way too conservative. Months became years, so we dropped them and went looking for a new company. This nice part is that the old company gets to keep our hefty down payment.

Working with the new company has been better. The Bass Clubs area is almost ready for testing (I know this sounds familiar, but it truly is). Once that has been completed, we are moving right onto the ProStaff/Articles section. This first module was a tuff one because it will act as the foundation for the rest of the website. The other areas should be easier to build (or so I am told).

For now, at least the message boards are still working!
