WQPT, channel 24, in Moline, IL, will air The World of Virgil Ward documentary as a special tribute. It will be on Saturday 25 at 1 p.m.
My camerman/co-producer, Brad Mosier, said if anyone has a local PBS station, which they think would be interested in airing the documentary, to get in touch, giving him the call letters, and contact person (if known). Brad's email is [email protected]. Drop him a line with the information, and he will contact the station. It is being offered to them free of charge.
It is a shame that more stations did not air this before his death, but now he should be honored as well as any of the other TV people whom have had documentaries shown after they have passed on.
Thanks in advance, and let's get The World of Virgil Ward to live on forever.
Best of fishing,
Dan

I sent you and your friend info on the PBS stations in my area. Your add. came back as unsendable. Another place you should check is the Mag., Midwest Outdoors in Park Ridge, IL. I believe they once did a article on V.Ward.

Carl,
You are correct on Midwest Outdoors. That article was probably mine. I've written several on Virgil in different magazines. My magazine column, Dan's Fish 'N' Tales, has been in MWO since 1979.
I'm not sure why the email would have come back. Brad's email is [email protected], if that is what you were using.
Thanks for the information in advance.
