I live 45 minutes from Mark Twain. I was wondering if you have much experience on the lake, lures spots, methods, etc. I would like to make a few trips up there this year.

Scott, sorry it took so long.
There are several good spots to try on Mark Twain. The problem is everything looks fishy. The following spots are good areas, you simply can't fish the entire lake.
Dry Fork has been good to me. It's up under the bridge at Ray Behrens access. Take the left fork and follow to the end. There is a nice bluff and a feeder creek channel that holds fish. I've done best on shad apttern crankbaits that run ten feet deep. Also done well on purple worms, about eight inches. Burbridge creek is also good, try crashing spinnerbaits into the base of the stranding trees, white skirt, gold blades.
Indian creek is one of the better spots though receives a lot of local pressure. Follow the channel through the trees to the back end. Use shallow diving crankbaits, Rat-L-Traps in chrome or flip black/blue jigs into the fallen brush and trees. Take the right fork.
Shell branch can be good in high water, use black jigs or red flake worms flipped into the timber. Sandy creek, use spinnerbaits in shad patterns with silver blades or again, red flake worms. Red is hot on this lake. I always use Bleeding red hooks! Elk fork is another possibility, try the same baits mentioned. Elk fork and middle fork are part of the Salt river, the major tributary. Fish secondary points with timber. Try deep cranks in firetiger or large-10" inch worms carolina rigged.
