It's hard to say for sure, unless the fish was spawning. If it was it will probably go right back to the bed.

The fish will stay if it is spawning but may not even look at the lure it spit on you. I personally would down size and be extra careful in being quiet. Most importantly keep a low profile and fish slow real slowly. I have found it very difficult to get the big ones to hit again; the little bass are a different story as they are much easier to entice again.

If the fish was not spawning; look for a reason the fish was there such as structure, baitfish, cover, temperature, or water clarity. If you can’t get bit on your first spot: look for spots that are similar, you might find another hawg.

Depends what is holding here there in the first place. I think she will stay. I've lost a fish only to come back to it later in the day and catch it.
I broke off on a nice fish a few years back under a dock. I came back an hour later and broke her off again. A few hours later I went back and got her and she had both of my tubes still in her mouth.
