Oregon bass club tournaments need help!!!!!

Post by creson23 »

My name is Shawn Creson and I am a non-boater living near Salem Oregon. It is now April 19th 2005 and the river water temp is 49 degrees.

I am having a club tournament this weekend and the weather is supossed to be nice with sunny skys and temp around 70 degrees out.

I would like to know how and what and where to fish in the Willamette River.

Some of the things we have are alot of back waters for large mouth bass, in the main river holds some large mouth bass but mainly smallies. We will have a couple of other rivers entering the main river but what should I be looking for as far as weight to win my first club tournament and what should I be fishing as far as lures and the types of rigs. I have 10 fishing poles so rigging them up differently is no problem.

I have been fishing for bass in this river for several years and if I go out just to fish I have no problem catching fish and a few are of good size but then I fish a tournament and I catch 1-3 fish and they are always small ones around 1 lb. and that really stinks.

can you help me.

please send response to [email protected] and in the subject area of the email put tournament help for Willamette River.

Thank You for everything and may your lines be wet and tight at all times.

Thank You.
