Back Reeling
After reading the posts for RookieBassman I have a question of my own. What are the advantages to back reeling? I've always used my drag, and never have back reeled. Am I missing out on something? Carl

Back Reeling
I never have back reeled either carl. I trust my drag and so far it has worked. From my understanding it is mainly used on spinning reels. To prevent line twist. It also lets you controle the fish a little better, what I mean by that is you do not have to take you hand off the reel handle to adjust the drag while fighting the fish.
I just cant seem to get it down so I just use the drag. I switched to braided line on most all my reels so the line twist have not been a problem.
