please help
I am looking for a gadget that i have seen at a few a the tournaments i have been in. It is like a little bouy conected to a stringer hook, or something that goes on the fish like a stringer. This is to help you from having to wrestle with the fish when it is time for weigh in. if anyone knows what they are called so i can do a search to find them, or if you know where i can find them please let me know. thanks a million, Bucks

bucks, they are known as cull tags for lack of a better definition. The buoys are color coded and you assign the weight of that particular fish to the color. That way when you reach your limit, you know which fish is lightest and will be the first back into the lake when you catch another bigger one. They do make a great way to retrieve the fish from the livewell at weigh-in too. Mine are just spring clips that clamp to the bony part of the fish's lip. These aren't designed for removing fish from the livewell, just tagging for cull purposes. The best way to get your fish from your livewell is to pump out part of the water (if you have a pump out system) or a trout net. I am opposed to lifting a fish out with a "stringer" hook, but that's just my personal preference. There are various types of these cull tags available. Most catalogue/store fishing places have them, like Bass Pro Shops, Cabela's and so on. Hope this info helps.

Bucks, Herb is correct, but I simply made my own. I bought a wire clip stringer, removed the clips and added small different color bobbers to the clips. This works fine. These same clips are very handy for holding bass snaps or swivels, makes them easier to find and keeps them in one place. I find these srringer clips have several uses. Good luck, Johnnie
