Sorry I have been gone too

Post by mofish »

Unfortunatly my wife was battling (well it was more of a mental battle) cancer and we have it whipped for now and we will find out soon if its all gone. They did surgury and believe that they were able to get all of it. Its been very rough so you can imagine why I have not had time to stop in lately. Fishing has been a good way for both of us to just get away from it for a while. We qualified for the championship in our couples tournaments which were the only ones that I fished this year so that I could be with her. With the Good Lords help all this will change in the near future. Just keep her in your prayers I know yall will and I thank you for letting me be part of the site.

Conley

MMT glad to see back on here.

I almost forgot that I posted this a while back. I just love looking back at alot of the post that are here. There is some really good info on this site...

Now for some more good info. The wife is free and clear of any cancer. They were able to get it all and her test have all come back with very positive results... Thank yall so much for the thoughts and prayers. We all know that sometimes you don't always get what you ask for but you allways get what you need...

As far as the championship went well thats another story.. She was sick both days of the tournament and lets just say fishing was the furtherest thing from her mind. It just wasn't good at all. We caught three fish the first day and none the second, we left the tournament early on the second day at around 1000 because she just couldn't take it anymore. I must say she is a trooper though to stick it out as long as she did. I am proud to be able to one be married to her, two to have her as my best friend, and three to be my fishing partner.

We ended the year in the top six which are recongnized at the championship with trophies. We finished 6th. Look out next year because we plan to be on TOP...
Thanks,

Conley, I'm glad your wife is okay. God and Doctors together can work miracles at times.
Often, it takes a slap in the face for us to wake up to realize what we have and to appreciate each and every day.
Good luck to you both in the coming year, and I feel sorry for the rest of the tournament field, they don't stand much of a chance now you're back! Johnnie
