I have also seen that promo on Bill Dance outdoors, it is supposed to mimic the sounds of bass feeding on shad... Who knows? Personally, I have tried to stay focused on the basics… I have been much more successful with “fine-tuning” simple presentations and tactics than I have been with buying new and bigger toys.

As for me and work… I been traveling so much, that I just have not been able to get much time online… surfing the web while you are driving a car, does not go well hand in hand.

On a completely unrelated note, its funny how kids pick things up. One of my daughter's first words was “BOAT”… now I can’t even let her near the window near my bass boat, because see will cry for me to take her outside and let her sit in it… I have high hopes that she will take to fishing when she is a little older.

Brendan,
A little "brainwashing" goes a long ways with kids. Both of my Daughters loved to fish and boat ride until they dicovered a new species (boys). Now, I can't tear my Grandson away from fishing, it's always, "just ten more minutes" and I give in real easy. Johnnie

Guys, My mind (what's left of it)n drifts back to fishing with my Grandpa. He never liked boats, always sat on the bank and fished live minnows. On slow days he would wish for a boat to come by, he liked it when the waves would wash onto the bank. The minnow bucket would wash two feet onto the bank, the water would dingy up some and almost always one of us or both would catch a fish.
The waves stirred up the plankton, the minnows got active, the fish got active, we got active-chain of events. I've always kept this in mind and used it to my advantage a lot. Won a tournament one time while boats were putting in at a boat ramp. The motor wakes, acted just like the boat wakes, my largest fish that day came right off someone's trailer tire that was backing in.
