home lakes
Tyler, our lakes are so small no one ever heard of them. I do fish the Mississippi river a lot and grew up fishing Table Rock, Norfork and Bull Shoals lakes in Arkansas and Missouri, so I call them home lakes. My pick for big bass is Table Rock, for numbers of quality fish, Bull Shoals, for numbers only, Norfork.

home lakes
Tyler,
Same goes for me... I live in Long Island, NY and all we have here are ponds and some small rivers/streams.
I call my home lakes (in no particular order):
Candlewood Lake, CT
Lake Lilinonah, CT
Lake Zoar, CT
Greenwood Lake, NY/NJ
Lake Mahopac, NY
I spend a good number of days on other bodies of water fishing tournaments. You might know some of these names:
Lake Champlain, NY/VT
Lake George, NY
Saint Lawrence River (1,000 Islands), NY
The "Finger Lakes", NY
Hudson River, NY
Connecticut River, CT
How about you... what are your home lakes?
Welcome to the site!

This area is a prime area when it comes to fishing. A few years back the Pro Tour come thru and had a 3 day tourney on three different lakes. Our large lakes are Rend, Crab Orchard, Kincaid ( world class Muski lake). Then we have smaller lakes, Cedar, Little Grassy, and Devil's Kitchen. We get alot of out-of-staters which doesn't sit well with the locals. The fishing pressure on these lakes has doubled in the last five years. Guess that's true all over the country. Many of the lakes are in Shawnee National Forest. In some respects that's good and bad. US Fish & Wildlife doesn't have the manpower to enforce regs, and some of their decsions aren't exactly in line with the fishing public, on the other hand they've blocked developement in some very pristine areas. Waiting for Spring.

I live out in New Mexico so all of our home lakes are 2 hours away.
Elephant Butte
Navajo Lake
Morgan Lake
Ute Lake
However I've found much better bass fishing in Texas at
Alan Henry Lake-Awsome fishing
Amestad Lake-The best bass fishing I've ever seen
Sam Rayburn
Lake Fork
I wish I lived in Florida or Mississippi so I could just get off work and fish for a few hours. The drive time is tough here in NM.
Good Luck,
Robert
