Triton Electrical Problem
I have to toggle the key off/on about 3 times to get the guages to come on so I can crank the Mercury engine. After the boat cranks, my fuel and trim guages do not register correctly. I have a 2000 Triton 186. Does this sound like a key switch problem or ground problem? Any hints about what I should check? Is there just one ground or several? Where are these ground locations?

Triton Electrical Problem
Sam- Hang with us until we see if we can locate one of our Pro Staffers with the Triton/Merc combination.
If not, you may want to contact Triton (if you feel the boat electrical equip. may be the problem) or Mercury (if it looks like it's the engine)
Give us the weekend to check. If we can't get one of our Staffers, maybe we can help with names of the good folks at Mercury & Triton.
Thanks for coming here. JoeMo

Triton Electrical Problem
Sam- Looks like the guy is out of town. Unfortunately he is the only Triton guy on our Pro Staff that I know of.
I would suggest you check your local marinas, see if there are Tritons around and ask those guys. Same with Mercs.
If that doesn't work, try the websites for either or both. Many have e-mail addresses to send in your questions.
Keep checking back here. If our guy shows, we will get him to post, pronto. Good Luck
