What do you guys think of this reel?
Bass Pro Shops® Extreme™ Baitcast Reel? I have a guy who wants to trade me echelon Pflueger® for the BPS Extreme. Do you think its a good trade, i have never had a BPS reel and am kinda weary about if they will hold up or not. I fish alot, thanks for any info.

Luke, I have bought several of the BPS extreme series reels in the last couple of years. They are a smooth, good casting reel with an easy to use brake adjustment. I also have some of the lite series in the same style. They have redesigned the reels a few years back so the length of service is not known, but most of todays reels have new designs and we just haven't seen them long to see how they will last.
BPS has the reels made by some manufacturer and it looks much like a pfluger product. They are a good buy , and a better buy when the have a sale special. I have seen them as low as $59 in sale catalogs.
Hope this helps you out

I have to agree the BPS Extreem Reel is a great buy. My wife has Two of the them and I have one. For the price its great!! If you have small hands like the wife does the Extreem Light is small enough for her to use comfortably.
Thanks,

I have to agree, they are sweeet reels. I bought one for my Grandson and now wish I had kept it for myself!!! He loves it.
