Here is a new report, fished a SuperBass Buddy tournament on Truman last weekend.
Ekins Jigs (Black and Blue) 1/4 ounce tipped with a small matching craw's are the ticket!! Fished along bluff walls with standing timber in 25 foot of water, fish are hanging right on the wood with clear Sunny skies.
Also found a good pattern with clouds, fishing a zara spook and walking the bait right to the tree and stopping and leaving the bait still. Most of the fish we could see before the took the bait..
My partner had one that went over 8 pounds saturday in practice, could not believe what I was seening.. This fish just blew up on this bait, it was wild... Too bad it was the wrong day!!! Maybe a new thread (Too Pre Fish or Not?)
Sunday cold front came thru blew out all of the clouds and a strong North West wind killed that bite. Had alot of 14.5 fish on jigs, but could not put together a good showing, it took 16 pounds to win all came on jigs and a few topwater..
Good Fishing
