im getting in my fishing mode again
and i was wondering what is the best color worms to use in dark colored ponds and lakes.

I like red shad from culprit. Very productive in small farm ponds.

Any type of dark water situation, I use a darker color like black or black/blue or red shad. The bass tend to trigger more with darker colors in darker water. Sometimes adding chartuese to the tails triggers the bass as well.

if using culprit worms i like the red shad or the black shad.if using zoom worms i like junebug,scuppernog(dark brown),and of coarse black. hope these colors work for you.

Those are good choices bass_assassin23. I love to use anything dark especially junebug and blue/black in muddy water.

In dark water, I use pumpkin and kill the bass sometimes when it's sunny.

but in most conditions in dark water, I would go with junebug, which I use with great success some days.

With the lighter colored worms, you can dye the tails hot pink etc...I tried that in the lake today with some of the fish scent Johnnie recommended...I caught 3 in 5 minutes =P
I just dyed the tails on some pumpkin trick worms hot pink after spraying some fish scent into the worm bag.

Pumpkin is a great color in stained water. It is even good in clear water. Fish just seem to trigger on it because it has the natural looks of a nightcrawler. Junebug is a color that i use to my success all the time. It is a good color to use when the water is muddy or stained. Good luck on the water!
