Recently the annual Dan's Fish 'N' Tales casting contest took place and in the adult division an 82 year old man won the event by scoring 100 out of a possible 180. The next competitor had 50 points. Some of the guys he beat were tournament anglers. He had a very accurate, and hard cast. He would aim and fire it like a bullet. When the plug hit the target, or bulleye it was a definite score. There was no doubt. His name is Henry Diedrich, and he is from Moline, Illinois.
I was also told that Henry is a successful competitor in the Senior Olympics.
I know this doesn't give anyone a successful fishing tip, but it shows all of us that we can just keep on casting for as long as God will let us stay healthy enough to enjoy our sport.
Congratulations Henry, and hope to see you back at next year's contest.
Best of fishing,
Dan

82 year old wins casting contest
Dan, I know this is an older post of yours, but I enjoyed learning about the 82 year old winning the contest. Maybe there's hope for all of us later on!! Johnnie
