Tubes!

Ed, Tubes always were big fish producers, they were the "senko" of the eighties when western bass legend Bobby Garland started winning big with them. There is no doubt that they catch fish and as he said the lighter the weight the more effective at times they can be. As a side note have you noticed when the water temp is lower you catch more bass on it using a drag retreve and most Bass are caught through their bottom lip. Getting back to the point all tubes catch fish my new favorite has been the "Bass Pro shops tender tubes" but I fish all kinds as for colors I like any but my favorite is "watermelon pepper","pumpkin pepper" and "Pumpkin Blue Flake". You are probably catching more Bass on them becuase you are using them more and you will catch more on a bait that you have confidence in and keep putting in the water, as example a grub or spinnerbait will catch fish as well, but if you are using the tube all the time it is very hard for a Bass to hit them in the rod locker. THe point is all baits (Tools) catch fish but Location always dictates presntation and we should not look for places to use our favorite technique but instead find the Bass and fish with confidence and without fear!!!
