Bass fishing and catching is Excellent at the Stick Marsh and Farm 13. The crappie catching must also be super excellent. We see folks all over the lake loading up with crappie. We also catch a few on some of our bass lures. Bass are in the shallows preparing to spawn. The more you catch the more you notice that the bass look to be on sterioids. This appearance is typical of a bass eating itself to the explosion level in preparing to spawn. Each and every day there are more of these "steriod bass".
Catching bass on artificials is loads of fun. My clients and I had a day of this on Thursday. Talk about a perfect day! We talked about the tournament on Toho a few years ago when everything was perfect. Thursday was a pretty good day. We caught bass on Long A's, Thundersticks, Spinnerbaits, soft jerkbaits and about anything we were willing to work slow. Most of the bites were real easy bites. But the fight was real good.
About forty five minutes into the morning Paul asked me if I was keeping count. I said: "No" and asked if he was. Paul said: "NO". We had already lost count. About an hour before the end of the day I asked Paul how many he thought we caught. Paul said: "Enough". I guess that's a pretty good day, when you've caught enough with an hour left to go.
Paul and Ben were pretty good fishermen. So "enogh" was a pretty fair amount of bass.
The water level is excellent. The water color is excellent. The bite is excellent. I look for these conditions to continue. Come join me.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I hope your stockings are filled with baits; your presents are rods and reels; your bass boat is a Bass Cat and your powered by Yamaha and Minnkota. I further hope that you can have a catching trip of a lifetime soon.
God Bless You,
