Water Temperature: 74

Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Jeff Marsh and sons Jordan and Dan of St. Louis, Mo. fished a half day with me friday and pulled an even 20 fish out of the middle of the Stick Marsh before having to high-tail it to the airport. Jeff tried to change his flight plans to stay and fish saturday but unfortunately the airlines would have none of that. The Marsh gang did however make the most of their time on the water, they caught many 2-3 lb. scrappers plus a 5, a couple 4's, and Jordans 8# er. above.

He caught the big Fish On :

- Bomber crankbait that runs about 3 feet in "firetiger" reeled steady medium in 7.5 feet of water over pepper, wild fruit, and palm stumps mostly at least 3' down. BY FAR THE BEST BAIT OF THE DAY FOR US (15 fish)

- 3/16 oz. texas-rigged 8" GAMBLER ribbontail in black/blue fished slow(1 2# fish)

- shiners tossed out the stern bobbered at 3' (4 fish, 1 5#)
After I dropped off the gang I reapplied sunscreen and headed to the ditches of Farm 13 to check for shad chasing activity, I caught 32 fish quick on my second stop.

- all on a Spro prime 25 crankbait in "chartreuse" but these 1-2 lb. fish would have eaten anything.

I ran to another ditch to see if I could find the same scenario for future reference, 1 more dink and I headed back to the Stick Marsh side with hopes of a big fish, 1 3#er on the same Spro crankbait and off the water at 3:45pm. SUNSCREEN WATER SUNSCREEN WATER (trail mix)WATER SUNSCREEN WATER
