FROG TIME IN DELAWARE!!

It's "FROG" TIME!!

We got to Noxontown Lake in Middletown Delaware at 6:00 AM, and there were two boats already launching.

The water temperature was 79 degrees in most areas, with little to no wind and clear skies.

We started on the Northwest Shore with black Terminator Buzzbaits and immediately picked up a nice healthy looking largemouth that went 3.2 pounds from the pads in 2 feet of water.

We continued up the shore almost to the upper end of the lake working "Lucky Craft" crankbaits, Jigs, and buzzbaits with no success.

As we approached the very upper end of the lake we noticed that the water color had changed and was a little deeper with pockets in the grass mixed with pads and wood, and baitfish activity was everywhere!



We started throwing 1/2 ounce "Snag Proof Tournament Frogs", and "Bobby's Perfect Frog", both made by "Snag Proof", and let me tell you!! All Heck Broke Loose!!



Bass started smashing the frogs like gangbusters, and in just a 100 yard stretch of water we had 27 bass blow up on the frogs through VERY THICK slop!

Tremendous explosions that make your heart flutter and hands shake even after 30 years of fishing them.

We managed to catch about half of the bass that hit, and the biggest was 4.9 pounds, but bigger ones attacked it several times and couldn't locate it through the slop. It was that thick! Several bass hit the frogs as many as 4 times on the way back to the boat.

The air temperature reached about 86 degrees by 1:00 PM, and we had a radio show to do with Chad Morgenthaler tonight, so we decided to head back in.

We stopped at a real nice looking tree before leaving, and made a final flip into the thickest branches with a Watermelon "Terminator" Jig in 1/2 ounce, with a "Paca Craw" trailer in the same color.

The line jumped, and Kurt set the hook on a real bruiser! What a fight! We landed it and got it all on video. It was just under 5 pounds! The perfect end to a hot summer day in Delaware!
