The Wedge

If you have ever tried hooking up a boat by yourself, or with someone giving the wrong directions, you know the sound of a crunching license plate or bumper. There is now a product, which has been on the market for a couple of years, called the Wedge. This thing is great. It has an arrowhead type plate, which fits under the hitch ball. To this attaches what is called a guide. Just back towards the boat hitch, slowly make contact with the guide, and let it place the hitch over the ball. Once hooked up, remove the guide, and off you go. In all my years in this industry, I think this is one of the best boating (or any trailer) products I've ever encountered.
