New line from Berkley

I see Berkley is introducing "Ironsilk"- the first reinforced polymer fishing line. They claim it is the "next evolution in 'tough' or abrasion-resistant premium monofilament lines. Price wasn't mentioned.
Any comments?

Joe, as with all lines it must be tried and tested under a variety of conditions ie cold, hot, humid, and how does it store memory. I love Berkley products and it is a shame that they do not do more for the young guys trying to establish themselves on the tour, as I believe they prefer established names. I will give it a try, I love vanish and use it on all my spinnig rods as it is invisable strong and is castable with graet abrasion resistance. I love hearing about new products from you and I love even more reminding you about all the great lures from the past that still exist in our tackle Bags (years ago plano tackle boxes). Dan- How right you are about all the good lures we've used in the past. They seem to move over as we locate other technology which leads us to use something new even though a Pedigo Spin-rite or a Hula Popper could still do the job.

Of course, let's not forget we are also collectors (or "packrats" as my wife calls me)Thanks for your powerful posts. You and Tim have provided excellent advice.
