To all, you have to try the 4" Gene Larew Floating tube. I started this last week using two colors Watermelon seed neon and Watermelonseed rigged with a 3/8 oz screw lock bullet wheight and 2/0 Gami wide gap. I fish this as a flippin' bait in weeds. I use 50# Power Pro line and have been catching quality fish in Greenwood Lake and Hopatcong over the last weekend and Candlewood last week. The Bait is tough at the head with a soft tail, it is durable yet soft and salty that the Bass donot drop it. The bulk must come from a double dip design (the mark of a handmade bait). Contact Gene Larew to get some. Good Bassin Dan Bass

Dan- I think you should either have a air-tight locker in your bassboat or a 2nd trailer behind your boat trailer to hold these garlic-laden rascals.

They are potent baits and successful I might add. JoeMo

I love their floating lizards but have been using the tube worm more and more. The floating tubes are a great fall bass lure I flip them into trees and dollar pads. "Get some Larew in you this year" good bassin dan bass.

Guys, I've really been sold on Gene Larew lures this year. So much so that I was lucky enough to be signed to their pro staff.

However, I ordered the Mega Ring Tube, not knowing what to expect. When I first looked at this ugly looking thing I said "Why?" It didn't take long to get an answer.

I use a computer fishing log program called the Fish Tracking System. It allows me to punch up any data base, and get results for any lure I have used. In the short time I've used the Mega Ring Tube (got it late in the year), I have had an average catch of around 2 1/4 pounds each. That has definitely become a big fish bait for me.

I've also had excellent results on the 4" Tube Worm (mentioned in another posting), and the new Floating Finesse Craw. Then again, you can never discount the advantages of the "old stand by" Salt Craw.

As you can tell I am definitely sold on Gene Larew Lures. Not because I made the pro staff, but because they work. If they didn't I would have never tried to sign with the company. When something works for me, I let people know, and won't promote something in which I don't believe.

I do have one major complant about Gene Larew! Why do they stop making a color when it's the hottest thing going? They have almost completely stopped making baits in cinnamon pepper neon/jungbug laminated (Camouflage). Are they not aware this is the hottest color ever! My favorite worm is the 7 1/2" Ring Worm in camouflage, I buy them 500 at a time. They don't even make camouflage craws any more. What's up with that!

A few outstanding, Gene Larew baits no one has ever written about are the Hoo Daddy grub and creature bait. As a short grub, the effectivenes of it on many species, is amazing and surpasses non-textured grubs 10:1.

The medium or large Hoo Daddys, when tex-posed and weightless, are great for working weeds. Smallies try to destroy the medium size when cast upstream an allowed to 'swim' over shallow, rocky areas but rigged the same as the above.

Pike go nuts for the large fire-tiger model worked over weed beds, but on a long cast.
Too keep the 'ribs' from interfering with the strike, I cut a few off where the hook is exposed and the remaining ribs are perfect weedguards.

They haven't done as well with the usual bullet weight-Texas rig set up. Brush Hogs and 7" lizards have done better for me.
