I had the pleasure of visiting Lou the owner of Wacky Worm a large tackle store in Gilbert Penn. The store is huge and has more plastics (including lots of hard to find plastics)than any where on earth. The trip took about 2 hours and 45 minutes from Long Island and directions are posted on the Wacky Worm site. Please call for his winter hours. I had made the trip becuase I had heard of a senko clone worm that has been more effective in the thousand Islands and New York tournament circuit. This guarded secret has been kept quite by many of the top finishers and has almost twice the salt contentwith no fillers (sand) and a true wheight. The best part is the are alot more reasoable than the most popular brand, I bought them for 13 dollars per 50, 22 dollars per hundred. If you are bored with the cold take a trip up to see the store, he also has the best prices and selection of Lucky Craft Lures I have ever seen. Good Bassin Dan Bass

Hi DanBass- I hope you had a good Christmas and that 2003 is a great year for you. It came in here last night with 3" of rain in less than 4 hours.

Is that the PA fella with the big script lettering spelling out "Wacky Worm" on the front of the building?

Lastly, I thought all guys who use Wacky Worms were wackos. (Moderators included!!!)

Thanks for an interesting post. Much obliged.

DanBass- I know that to be true. I don't see you "pushing" Helicopter Baits or things like that. They catch bass, but so will a clothes pin if you attach a hook to it.

In this case he doesn't just sell wacky worms, right? Wacky is part of his logo if I recall the brochure I've seen. Got it via the Retailer magazine about a year ago.

Now to figure out a good reason to go to PA when I go north again....Thanks again for posting. Joe

Ive been ordering from Wacky Worm for the past couple years - great place and he can get you any plastic you are looking for. I almost hate to say it because it's been kind of a "secret" spot to get baits other guys cant find!

He has saved the day for me many times on bulk counts of Berkely baits that are no longer in production.

2 Thumbs Up!

I always check them out at the Rockland Expo. They were the guys that got me interested in Tica reels. In fact Lou gave me a "reserved" Tica cetus 500 SB several years ago. I now have 4 of them. Good guys!
