STRIKE KING 3X LURES

Post by bassin butch »

I noticed last year several stores were discounting 3X baits. The baits started a 3.00 a bag and now are discounted to 1.00 to 1.50 a bag. What happened? No angler interest? I have caught a few good bass on their straight tail worms. Tryed their zulu's and did not like them, I like flukes much more as they fall not float. Overall 3X seem like good baits. Whats up?

i have tried them and found out that i do not like them. If ordinary plastic worms arent my choice, then gulp will be my choice of worms. I had some 3x and they melted. Just being out in the sun all day w/ them just causes them to melt. I am not a fan of 3x and will never buy them if they only cost .30

Well late for this one also but here's my take, I hate to see a company come out with a decent product and it not take-off, the competition in plastics is Firce and they might have been a bit pricey but if your looking to use a TRICK ie: floating worm I don't think there's a better choice than a 3X. They float even a 3/0 wide Gap and they last more than a couple a Fish, I caught 8 Bass on one and it was still good for three more after that

personnally, i like the 3X line of baits. they were a little pricey at first. i mean i did not like the fact that i was paying $3.50 for 5 plastic baits. the lizards work great rigged carolina or texas style. went fishing over the weekend and the only thing they would hit was a red 3X lizard rigged carolina style. just wish i would have figured it out 6 hours earlier! lol

Are you guys talking about the baits that you can find in Wal Mart for like 49 cents a bag? I know they have a new series that is more expensive but although the concept is awesome, I'm not sure the translation is that good.

I fish the 3x a lot the 6.5 red shad worm and I have caught 10 fish on one worm you could not do that with a normal worm I fish it a lot on a slider head and the tail of the worm stands up off the bottom you don't have to do much to make it move like a real worm in fact most of the places I like to fish have current and iI don't do any thing but move it with a few shakes of my rod tip works real good

i think the 3X is the best worm on the market. go to www.strikeking.com and they have a forum there to find more out about them. from what strikeking said they are still saleing them and are actully try'n to come out with a creature bait. you can go to http://www.tackleunlimited.com and get any strike king product.
