I have found numerous ways to fish the tube jig or gitzit as my cousin calls it is a
very good lure for deep and shallow waters
but i would like to know if anybody fishes this lure any different way than I do?
I fish this lure two different ways with a jighead and also weedless.
I work the weedles high and fast which has yielded some very good results and powerful strikes when I throw a jighead on I fish it deep and slow raising off the lake bottom and letting it fall back down.
Just interested in any other ways to fish this lure one which is always in stock in
my tackle box.

I have had good luck using an old trick taught to me by my fishing buddy and felloe Bassin' member, Dan Galusha. We shove a three to four inch segment of a used plastic worm into the open cavity of the tube and add some fish formula for flavor. the worm tail makes the bait appear largher, has a better swimming action and offers two colors instead of one along with two actions instead of one. We rig it Texas style. I have even crammed small crawfish imitators into the tube leaving the pichers out for effect. Get it a try and let us know. Good post, Johnnie
