The Prez of my former Club in CT used a BPS Extreme Z-Dog Jr in my lake last summer. He caught bass at will walking the dog.
The bait performed extremely well. When I get an order together, it will include one of those.
At $4.99, that's equivalent to 3 Sammys.

I'll tell you what... When I first got into bass fishing, all I did was fish top water baits... Now I hardly ever use them... It's kind of ironic that we are discussing this topic, because I made a commitment to myself to get back into using top waters as search baits next season...

All the old bass catchers used to urge anglers to use top-water baits for big fish. Especially the Zara Spook. (Other big bass baits then were the Jig, Spinnerbait and buzzbait) Of the 4 of them, 2 were top-waters.
Some of these guys were Jason Lucas, Homer Circle (Still going at what? 83?) and Al from Field and Stream. (His last name escapes me)

Yes, that's the one, Brendan.
Ray, that Chug Bug is good, because it has the best features of a Zara as well as that of the Pop-R. Great bait.
As we all know, we will own whatever it takes to catch bass consistently.
