Hi all first report!
First let me say that fishing this lake is kinad like fishing in a pet shop. The lake is man made, has a concrete shoreline and was filled with water about 40 years ago. We have fished there twice before, once for a total of 1 dink, and the second time a whole day for 3 1-2 LBers.
That being said, I took my son there yesterday as he only had a half day of school. We started fishing about 1:pm and fished till 4:PM. fishing from shore we worked the lily pads and bublers around the shoreline.
I fished a Fat Boy Ika in watermelon green for a total of 12 LMB. These fish are starving, and are for the most part long and skinny!
My son (who is 13) fished a wackey rigged Senko, the Ika, a shakey head, and even thrw some top water for a total of 12 LMB.
Like I said it was kind of like cheating. But it was a great way to spend the afternoon with my son!
I will post pics as soon as I figure out how.
